David D. Yenter, age 69, of Milwaukee County, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 3, 2026, leaving behind family and friends who will remember him for his individuality, his humor, and the unmistakable spirit that made him truly one of a kind. Born on January 23, 1957, he was the son of David Yenter and Jeanette (Groshek) Wagner, both of whom preceded him in death. His passing brings sadness to those who knew him, yet his memory remains vivid in the stories and connections he built throughout his life.
David lived life on his own terms, embracing the things he loved with passion and authenticity. Music was at the heart of who he was—especially rock ’n’ roll—and he had a natural talent for playing both the trumpet and the piano. Whether listening to his favorite bands or creating music of his own, he found joy and expression through sound. He was also a devoted sports fan, rarely missing a chance to cheer on the Green Bay Packers or tune in to a Milwaukee Brewers game, following each season with enthusiasm.
He had a gift for forming friendships with people from all walks of life. His unique personality, quick wit, and easygoing nature made him someone others gravitated toward. David valued connection, conversation, and the simple pleasure of being surrounded by people who appreciated him for exactly who he was. David is survived by his sister, Julie (Mike) Stroik; his niece, Wendy Stroik and her fiancé, Andrew Johnson; and his great‑nephew, Calum, who brought him joy and pride. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will hold his memory close.
