With deep sorrow, the family and community of Cinco Bayou, Florida announce the passing of Jose Calin Alvarez on February 9th, 2026, at the age of 54.
Surrounded by loved ones, Calin fought bravely against cancer, showing remarkable strength and resilience throughout his journey. His departure leaves a profound void, but his legacy of compassion and joy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Calin was a cherished member of the Cinco Bayou community, remembered for his warmth, humor, and generosity. Friends and neighbors recall his ability to brighten any room with his laughter and his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever someone was in need. His life was a testament to kindness, and he leaves behind countless memories of friendship and love that will be treasured for years to come.
He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. Calin loved spending time at the beach, where the sound of the waves brought him peace, and he delighted in bird watching, sharing his discoveries with those around him.
A devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers, he cheered for his team with unwavering enthusiasm, embodying the spirit of loyalty and camaraderie that football brings to so many.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 15th, from 3 PM to 6 PM at the Cinco Bayou Hall. The gathering will honor Calin’s memory, offering a space for stories, laughter, and remembrance.
