Ronald L. Davidson, 70, of Beatrice, Nebraska, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 5, 2026, at Beatrice Health and Rehab. Born on October 12, 1955, in Lincoln, Nebraska, Ron grew up in a loving family and graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School. His early years shaped him into a hardworking, steady, and dependable man—qualities that remained with him throughout his life. Those who knew Ron remember him as someone who valued honesty, loyalty, and the simple joys of everyday living.
Ron spent many years working as an automobile service writer, a role that suited his friendly nature and his ability to connect with people. He took pride in his work and enjoyed helping customers feel confident and cared for. On July 19, 1998, he married Cathy Deatherage in Las Vegas, Nevada, beginning a partnership filled with companionship, shared adventures, and deep affection. Together, they built a life grounded in love, family, and the comfort of being truly understood by one another.
Outside of work, Ron embraced the things that brought him joy. He loved camping and traveling, finding peace in the outdoors and in the memories created along the way. Car racing was another passion—one that reflected his appreciation for excitement, precision, and the thrill of the moment. Above all, Ron cherished time spent with his family. Whether gathered for holidays, sharing stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company, he found his greatest happiness in the people he loved.
Ron is survived by his wife, Cathy Davidson of Beatrice; his step‑daughter, Jamie (Mitch) Corder of Las Vegas, Nevada; his step‑son, Chad (LeAnn) Gillispie of Ceresco, Nebraska; ten grandchildren—Harlee (Caiden) Crouch, Alastor Corder, Tavin Corder, Julian Corder, Esmerelda Corder, Brittany McConnell, Jess McConnell, Tristan Gillispie, Charlene (Troy) Shaw, and Stephanie (Brandon) Catalina; and eight great‑grandchildren—Oaklynn Crouch, Karter McConnell, Carissa Shaw, Taylor Shaw, Emma Catalina, Amelia Catalina, Addisen Catalina, and Sammi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Aletha (Grove) Davidson. His family will forever remember his kindness, his humor, and the steady presence he brought into their lives.
Honoring Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family’s choice. Though his time on earth has ended, Ron’s legacy lives on in the memories he created, the love he shared, and the lives he touched. His family and friends will carry his spirit with them always, grateful for the years they were blessed to spend with him.
